This year we decided to spend our summer holiday again in Croatia. The destination we found was Villa Aqua on the Dalmatian island Hvar. After the arrival to this place our expectations were not only fulfilled, it even exceeded the description on the internet. The villa is located in the middle of one beautiful bay, where you have the possibility to enjoy the sunrise and sunset hours. The house is well kept and within the house you will find art objects, which make this place feel like home. Every room has enough space and provides an unbelievable view to the bay from every balcony. In front of the living room is a big terrace for breakfast, lunch and dinner, where we spent a lot of time with our family (8 persons). In the garden you will also find enough place for dinner below the pine trees using the grill place or relaxing in the hammock. Every morning and evening we used a close beach just a few steps away from the garden wall to swim in the cleanest water we have ever seen. The Villa has two moorings, where a boat can be fixed. The supermarkets can be reached in 10-15 minutes in Jelsa or Stari Grad. The house owner Slaven helped us with every wish and hint for making the time on Hvar unforgettable.

We were a party of 3 mature but young at heart couples who spent a wonderful week in this beautiful villa. Being familiar with the area from sailing around the Croatian islands we wanted somewhere to relax for a week with some non-sailing friends away from the crowds of Hvar Town. The interior of the villa exceeded our expectations and the well equipped barbecue meant we could have been completely self contained in the villa to enjoy the sea, swimming and views once we had done a big shop. A car was absolutely essential and we had 2 so that we could all do what we wanted, e.g. laze around by the sea at the villa, spend time in some of the cafes in Vrboska (it is possible to walk or bicycle there) or Stari Grad, explore the whole of the island or visit bustling Hvar Town. As long as one is reasonably agile (swimming is off rocks with access by a ladder) and happy to be 'away from it all', this villa is to be highly recommended.

Beautiful setting with unobstructed 200 degree water views. Great swimming in the sea steps away. Nice pool if needed, we swam in sea mostly. Owner let us use his mooring for a rental speedboat. Nice property, with several outdoor seating options, grill area etc. Owners are far and away the most helpful we've ever encountered. Nearby towns are small but lovely. 15 min away is larger Stari Grad, and Hvar Town is 25 min away. Highly recommended.

Wir verbrachten zwei wunderschöne Flitterwochen in dieser Villa. Der Besitzer Slaven hat uns persönlich begrüßt und war während unseres ganzen Aufenthaltes für Fragen/Tipps telefonisch erreichbar. Slaven ist der freundlichste und bemühteste Vermieter, den wir auf unseren Reisen kennenlernen durften! Das Haus bietet alles, was man sich wünschen kann. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und können die Unterkunft jedem, der Ruhe sucht, uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Brilliant location in relatively quiet cove with sea access, very helpful owner, Slaven. Authentic hamlet and nearby villages. Lovely walks around the coves. Seeing dolphins so close up on a boat trip to Bol was a real high. Recommend boat and kayaking. Local harbours all worth a visit — Vrboska, Stari Grad, Jelsa — and all with good restaurants. Short 30-40 min drive to other side of the island and Hvar too. Would definitely go back. Only negative is that there is a single track road to the property that can be a little busy at times so you need extra care on the corners when driving.

We were 8 friends all celebrating our 40's! Yes, we've managed to get away from our kids and family for a week to celebrate in Hvar! This house was just perfect. Every room has an en-suite bathroom, which means all ladies got to enjoy a nice warm bath. The pool is beautifully located, you can swim in the sea as well (even better), we had a barbecue and just enjoyed the house a lot! The location is a bit remote if you want to enjoy the night life, but we were more than happy to explore the island during the day and enjoy the house at night. Highly recommend!

This villa is fantastic, a very peaceful place located on a secluded cove. The house is fully equipped and beautifully decorated. The owners were extremely helpful in every aspect of our visit. They made excellent recommendations and had great connections on the island. We can't wait to come back next year. Thank you Slaven and Marija for your wonderful hospitality.

This villa is in a superb position in Basina Bay so close to the clear waters of the Adriatic. The immaculate villa is very spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The views from every room are breath-taking as is the view from the infinity pool. My family spent a wonderful week here and would all love to stay there again. Special mention for the owners, Slaven and Marija, who could not have been more helpful from the minute the villa was booked. They helped with car hire, restaurant and boat trip recommendations and are happy to help with any aspect of the stay.

A group of 8 stayed here for a week in June and it was absolutely perfect. The villa is gorgeous, with great views and loads of places to chill. A car is definitely recommended to get to nearby towns and supermarket, but taxis are able to come and pick you up to go to local restaurants. Whilst there is nowhere within walking distance taxis are cheap so it's not a problem. A great pool and direct access to the sea with sea kayaks on the property for use - it was great. The owners are very friendly and helpful, recommending restaurants, days out or things to do at the villa. We would definitely stay here again!

I had an incredible holiday in the villa in Rosohotnica with my friends. It's been definitely my best holiday so far. I loved the villa, the decoration and the private beach most. We did some canoeing, we swam nearly every day and grilled freshly bought fish in the garden. We barely left the villa, as we had everything we needed for a perfect holiday. We all fell in love with the place.

Our family was spending a wonderful week in Villa Aqua. We are renting a house every year and up to now we were always lucky, but this stay was something special! Right from the first e-mail we felt so welcome, the owners tried to help with everything and gave us the feeling of being invited at a friends' home. The house is as beautiful as you can see on the pictures, it is perfectly equipped and the location is wonderful. It is fantastic to stay in a house directly by the sea and still have a very nice pool! We are looking forward to coming again next summer!

A dream of a place. Swim in the clear calm waters of the cove or explore the series of coves with the kayaks that are included. Absolutely breathtaking! It is also within walking or cycling (also included) distance to Stari Grad and Jelsa if you want to explore the countryside and the small towns.

Slaven and Marija are wonderful hosts and their home is lovely and spacious. We enjoyed swimming in the ocean and the pool, cooking on the wood-fired bbq, and the beautiful views! It was great to have the kayaks, SUPs, and bikes — all in good condition. Also nice to have 2 washing machines, a large dining table, and four separate and large bedrooms to accommodate our family.

Dear Marija & Slaven, we had a perfect relaxing 3 weeks in your house. The location is exclusive, only a few meters from the sea and if you are too lazy to walk the few meters to the beach, you can relax in the pool. The house inside is comfortable and very well equipped, we did not miss anything and the girls were cleaning the rooms perfectly. The interior is very warm and stylish. Even when the weather is bad outside you can relax inside and enjoy the holidays. The garden and the environment of the house is beautiful and also invites to relax in several areas. The fireplace invites you to BBQ the catch of the day, if you catch something. Otherwise you can buy your food and everything you need in the big supermarket in Stari Grad, which is 10 min. drive by car. Some very nice restaurants are close by in the villages Vrboska, Stari Grad and Jelsa and it is no problem to get a taxi if you want to enjoy the beautiful wine of the island with your food. I booked Villa Aqua to accommodate myself and friends for my wedding week in Hvar. We wanted somewhere close enough to be able to taxi into Hvar town but far enough away from the bustling crowds of Hvar. Villa Aqua was absolutely perfect! The house is beautifully located in a quiet cul de sac only 5 mins drive away from Jelsa. The views from the villa were incredible and the private walk from the pool area to a secluded bay were magical. The villa itself was perfectly laid out with 2 bedrooms upstairs (the master bedroom with the spa bath and balcony overlooking the ocean was pure luxury), the second bedroom had a private bathroom and twin beds and plenty of room! The main level of the house had a huge lounge area with a kitchen (fully equipped with all kitchenware) and also another bathroom with a fantastic shower. The bottom level had a further 2 bedrooms with a lovely courtyard situated just outside. What was so great about the villa was the layout, you never felt on top of each other, there are plenty of secluded areas throughout the garden levels to really enjoy the tranquility this villa provides. The pool was stunning with plenty of sun loungers and space for everyone. The villa was extremely clean with high quality towels and bed linen which made the stay feel even more luxurious. Marija was fab to communicate with, always prompt and friendly and really helpful with any queries leading up to the stay and throughout the stay. What I really liked was the fact we could use the pool area ahead of the check in time, small gestures like this went a long way. Not only was my wedding in Hvar absolutely perfect, the stay at Villa Aqua made it even more special. I would highly recommend this accommodation and can't wait to return!

We stayed as a group of 2 families (4 adults, 6 children) in Villa Aqua in August 2018. There was plenty of space for everybody and the house was exactly what we were looking for. We alternated during the day by laying by the pool, swimming in the crystal clear sea which is just in front of the garden with a direct access from the property, doing SUP or kayaking with the kids. Since we did not need to go somewhere to find a beach, but everything was right there, it was one of the most relaxing weeks I have ever spent. The little ones could nap in the afternoon whilst the adults were reading in the shade and the older ones were playing in the pool. Marija gave us restaurant tips for Jelsa, Vrboska, Stari Grad and others, so we tested a different restaurant every night and were never disappointed. The best was the last evening with Hvar Chef (recommended by Marija) cooking and serving us dinner at the villa. Thanks a lot Marija for this wonderful week at your property and your hospitality. We can only strongly recommend your place!

I really can recommend this villa! Very beautiful, very clean and really modern. It's perfect for families, friends or other bigger groups of people! The villa has everything: a nice kitchen (with really all you need for good cooking sessions), big rooms, big bathrooms, bbq station, amazing pool and an own sea-entry!!! Amazing!!! You have stand up paddles, kayaks and many more. The location is breathtaking and so cozy!!! I am sure we come back soon! And not to forget the really friendly hosts: I forgot my book there and they sent it back to Vienna! I was so thankful, because it was a present. Xx Johanna from Austria

It was a very nice stay in a big and beautiful house with all equipment you need to spend a relaxing holiday. Sitting on the veranda you have a lovely view at the bay and sea. There is also a heated swimming pool available, but why take a swim in the pool when the sea is close by with only very few people taking a swim as well. It is not crowded there, giving you the chance to find relief and rest. There are nice restaurants and super markets, but you need a car. The hosts were very kind and caring, having an open ear for our wishes and reacting immediately. They gave us the impression to attach importance to our requests and our comfort. For us it was the second time to stay there. We can imagine to go there again.

We had a wonderful holiday on Hvar. The house was lovely decorated, the weather was wonderful and the sea was fantastic. We felt very comfortable. Marija and Slaven recommended us very good restaurants and were always with help and advice. We will certainly come back.

We stayed in this beautiful house during the summer of 2019 with our Family, 7 adults. It was a wonderful time. The house has everything you're looking for and more. The view from the house and terrace is magnificent. The owners are so kind, they provided us with a list of nice restaurants and places to visit. We enjoyed every minute of our stay in this beautiful house and hope to visit it again.

Book Villa Aqua if you can! We were two UK families and were not disappointed when we saw the amazing location and wonderful villa. Walking out the gate to the sea each day was a dream and we paddle boarded, kayaked or just swam around the bay for hours. Lunch down by the outdoor oven or on the terrace was a treat and we walked several times to Vrboska down a track past olive groves to the many cafes and restaurants in the pretty harbour. You can also hire day boats or speed boats from here and explore the local island and other towns which was great. The villa pictures do not even do it justice - rooms are large, well appointed, great air con if needed and the location is amazing for a peaceful, beautiful stay.

This is the perfect place for a larger family or group. You can hang out together in the kitchen/living room area or have peace and quiet in the individual rooms — each with a private bathroom. The location right on the sea is second to none and the option of swimming in the infinity pool is there, if you would rather have the calmer waters. An added bonus is the toys — the bikes, kayaks, paddle boards, etc. Highly, highly recommended.

This is truly a great house with a great location. Great for children with the pool which actually is bigger than it looks in the photos. But the most wonderful about the place is the crystalclear seawater just a few meters away, the view from the many balconys and the space that gives you the opportunity to be private outdoors. We also had great time using the grilloven outdoors making splendid food from local ingredients. The host Marija is very welcoming and helpful. I will recommend to rent a car for shopping and trashdisposal and looking around the island. There is a beautiful pathway just up the road to Vrboska, a 20 minute walk. We will highly recommend the place for everyone travelling in larger groups, we were 3 couples with 4 children aged 22, 13, 3 and 3 months, and we all loved the place.

What a fantastic two weeks we had at Villa Aqua. Stunning views, great house, jumping into the Adriatic right from the garden and a lovely island to discover. Hikes, mountainbiking, swimming, canoeing, stand up paddling, visiting wonderful small towns, great seafood, fantastic restaurants and some late night entertainment. And above all the best welcome and hospitality ever! Surely a place you'll remember!

Villa Aqua is the best Airbnb house we have stayed in! Firstly, the location is fantastic, right on the water with views of the sea from every bedroom. Secondly the amenities and added extras are just the best. There are bikes, SUPs, kayaks, snorkelling gear all which can be used in the sea which is right on your doorstep. There is a great barbeque spot and the terrace is perfect for eating dinner. Lastly, Slaven was so helpful in terms of giving us tips on what to do in Hvar.

Slaven's house is situated at the most beautiful location. To wake up in the morning, do some yoga on the terrace and then go swimming in the clear blue ocean is one of the most recreational vacations I had for a long time. My family of 5 + 2 friends stayed for a week. The house was spotless clean on arrival and Slaven was extremely helpful with everything from transit from Split airport to car rental and boat trips. We highly recommend a vacation at Slaven's house! Everything was perfect.

Just two words can easily describe this place: SIMPLY AMAZING!!! If you are looking for a heaven on the earth, this is the right place for you. We will definitely choose Villa Aqua for our future vacation plans and can recommend it to all high demand travellers.

My family of 4 plus my parents spent a week at Villa Aqua and it was an A++ experience throughout; the house, the landscaping, the pool, the sea, the surroundings and — importantly — Slaven's and Maria's willingness to make sure our experience was top notch. What makes it truly exceptional is that it is located at a tip of a peninsula which creates a true impression of complete privacy. The direct access to the sea is great and the swimming in the bay was one of the best we ever experienced.

We enjoyed a wonderful week at Villa Aqua in August this year. The property is even nicer than the picture would let you assume. The house is located at the end of a peninsula, with a large garden and directly connected to the stoned shore. It is located in a very nice, quiet and small community of vacation homes. Our 2 children loved playing in the garden and at the pool and of course daily swimming in the ocean. There is a nice, stoned barbecue area which we also used. There are five bikes that are not brand new but well maintained (the property is at the bottom of a hill so we did not cycle too much). There are 2 Kanus and 2 solid SUPs which we used almost daily. The house has a main area with 2 sleeping rooms on the first floor, a large living room on entry level, and there are 2 separate guest rooms with ensuite bathrooms on garden level (which we never used). The house facilities like bathrooms and kitchen are not brand new and might require a makeover soon, but everything works and the overall property is anyways so super nice that you never feel that anything is missing. During the first days we did not even leave the property because there was so much to do and the property and its environment was so nice that we did not feel the need to go anywhere else. We were in contact with the owners and also the local manager frequently who provided very nice recommendations about what to do and where to go. So in a nutshell: We spent a wonderful vacation at Villa Aqua and will certainly come back!

We enjoyed our stay at Villa Aqua immensely! The house was perfect, the island itself is also a dream. The view from the terrace to the sea is truly phenomenal. It is a very quiet bay, where you can dive into the sea 10 meters away. We will come again!

The villa has everything for a great holiday with the family and friends. From a fully equipped kitchen and a bbq place to kayaks and paddle boards. Slaven was really helpful with places to visit on the island and overall the communication was good.

Dieses wunderbare Haus hat eine Seele, man merkt, dass darin jemand gelebt hat. Es ist voll mit Bildern und das große Schlafzimmer mit noch größerem Badezimmer inkl. Whirlpool sind traumhaft schön. Der herrliche Garten bietet viel Schatten und absolute Ruhe, gleich daneben der herrliche Pool. Ein paar Schritte zum türkisblauen Meer in der wunderschönen Bucht und wir konnten auch 2 Kanus und Bretter ausborgen. Auch die Abwicklung funktionierte tadellos. Alles in allem ein perfektes Haus für einen traumhaften Urlaub.

Slaven's home is truly a slice of paradise. Our family of nine, including 2 young kids, stayed for a week and had a wonderful time. The home was spotless, spacious and well appointed with everything one needs. The balconies and outside area were fantastic for lounging, shared meals and soaking up the sun with a good book and drink in hand. Our family enjoyed swimming in the sea and especially appreciated having access to the kayak and paddle boards. We also really enjoyed meeting Milka, Slaven's local host who was very helpful, friendly and responsive.

Our host Milka was extremely responsive and very accommodating. We had a group of 6 and everyone had an unforgettable experience that we would do again.

We spent a week at Villa Aqua and had a wonderful time! The location is great, and some really lovely places to eat not far away. The villa is beautiful and really comfortable for 7 people! Slaven is a fantastic host, very responsive and helpful with any requests that we had. The easy access to the sea was a definite selling point for us with this villa — and it didn't disappoint!

This dreamlike house with its unique surroundings cannot be described in words and pictures! You just have to experience it and, like us, you will enjoy an unforgettable time here — a piece of paradise! Slaven and Maria created this dream house with so much attention to detail and we appreciated it very much to be able to live in it. Slaven always helped us courteously and kindly and gave us a feeling of welcome — just like his hostess Milka, who had welcomed us so warmly and was so friendly all week with valuable tips!

Slaven hat völlig zurecht den Titel eines Super Gastgebers. Er ist immer erreichbar, fragt unaufdringlich nach, ob alles okay ist oder etwas fehlt und hat für alles schnelle und gute Lösungen. Nach einer Woche kommt ein Team zur Zwischenreinigung und zum Wechsel von Handtüchern und Bettwäsche! Sehr schöner Ort zum Entspannen, Abschalten und Genießen. Check-In/Check-out völlig unkompliziert.
